Malay Rice at JEM

We ate the above which was delicious. The Malay rice is sold at JEM (Jurong East MRT) Basement 1. Even at 3pm the place was quite crowded. The beef Rendang was the best. It cost $6 for each serving.

My 3 meals today: Bak Chor Mee, Kway Chap and Satay

The Bar Chor mee kia is very good. This is sold at the stall at Jalan Kayu, in a coffee shop. The mince pork and pig's liver tasted well. The chilly sauce used is also tasty. Cost $3.50. As for the Kway Chup and Satay, they are at the hawker center opposite Great World City. Both are delicious too. Kway Chup in the picture was for 2 person. The satay was yummy except for the Kertupat or rice which was a bit hard. Kway Chup cost $11 and Satay was $6.60 (60 cents per stick)

Lunch is rib eye steak at Swenson's

This piece of rib eye cost S$30 inclusive of tax and service charge. Not worth the price at all. No beef flavour and portion too small. Not recommended.

12% increase in price overnight

The day before the above sandwich cost $2.70 but this morning I was charged $3, an increase of 30 cents. This happened at a Break Talk outlet. When asked why the increase, the cashier a China national replied that the cash register is programmed to charge $3. What a reply!
