grocery shopping in Japan

With a day to expiry date, the supermarket sold this piece of super Aussie crossed Japanese steak for half the price of S$11 (348 grammes). This steak is super tender and juicy. I love the steak sold in Japan.

The Japanese brand cornflakes Calbee is better than Kellogg's and besides Calbee is about 40% less expensive than Kellogg's.
The katsutori (chicken cutlet) and tamago (egg) sandwiches are so tasty that we will always buy a pack or two whenever we visit a certain supermarket.
The last item is the yogurt (500g) which we also got from the supermarket. It cost 50% less than the ones we bought in SG.

Breakfast and sandwiches in Japan

The all day breakfast menu is available in some restaurants. The food is reasonably priced and is tasty. The one above is the Japanese grilled salmon breakfast. It comes with free flow of hot and cold beverages at about S$6. The sandwich and dessert set is about $7. Good value with excellent service.
