Entertained Singaporean friends to dinner

We had some friends from Singapore for dinner. They were touring Southern Japan and visited us for a couple of hours. We had oysters, sashimi, sushi and roast beef for dinner. They promised to visit us again in the near future.

Nabe and oysters

Since it is quite chilly (average day temp 14c) we decided to have nabe or the equivalent of steamboat for lunch. We had some vegetables which are mostly cabbages and leek plus tofu and beef.
The fresh oysters which we bought from a supermarket was good enough for dinner. The oysters (2 dozens) cost about S$7 which is a steal. Oysters are inexpensive in Japan because they are plentiful during the cooler months.

Oysters and scallops

We had a feast of oysters and scallops for dinner. My wife being a better chef than me, cooked the food. It was a delicious and lovely meal during the chilly autumn evening. The outside temperature is 12c and with the heater switched on it's 20c in the house.
