They had Ramen for supper in Japan
Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or (occasionally) fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork , dried seaweed, kamaboko, and green onions. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido.
Champon Noodles from Japan, Oishi..!
A crew just sent me the above photo of the lunch she ate in Japan. It is called Champon. Champon also known as Chanpon, is a noodle dish that is a regional cuisine of Nagasaki, Japan. Due to the inspiration from Chinese cuisine, it is also a form of Japanese Chinese cuisine. Champon is made by frying pork, seafood and vegetables with lard; a soup made with chicken and pig bones is added. Ramen noodles made especially for champon are added and then boiled. Unlike other ramen dishes, only one pan is needed as the noodles are boiled in the soup. Depending on the season and the situation, the ingredients differ. Hence the taste and style may depend on the location and time of year. Source: Wikipedia.
Hup Lee Nasi Lemak
Nasi Lemak is a fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and "pandan" leaf. Nasi Lemak is commonly found in Malaysia and Singapore. The one that I had for breakfast this morning is prepared by Hup Lee,a Nasi Lemak specialist in Singapore. The dish with fragant rice, a fried egg, fish cake and sausage cost S$2.30cts. However, if one has a Kopitiam discount top up card (can get one for free)one is able to get a 10% discount of the price.
For information, this dish sold by Hup Lee is one of the cheapest in Singapore. Tastewise it is quite good.
The black coffee or kopi O as we called it cost 90 cents a glass but at the NTUC Foodfare it cost only 70 cents.
Brazilian Cheese Bread (home made)
My wife made the above Brazilian Cheese Bread for the first time. Our dogs loved them more than us and so eventually we gave them to our furry kids. Today, they ate them for breakfast.

My last September Japan visit
I am just like the crew who love this type of meal when night-stopping in Japan. This set dinner is made up of Chinese dishes cooked by a Japanese chef. The cost is S$8 per set and I ate it this evening. There is Gyoza, Omelette, Fried Rice and a small bowl of Salad with dressing.
The afternoon tea was Bagel which was soft and easy to eat. It is filled with delicious Ham and a slice of cheese. I also did order a plate of salad. The food at Bagel & Bagel was excellent.
